From the Superintendent
I hope you have had a good start to the summer. The weeks since school ended have been busy on campus as the One Campus project continues to ramp up with additional phases coming online weekly.
Great Falls Construction, the general contractor awarded the bid for the new PK-1 school, MIW addition, and campus road/parking improvements, has started site work on the new school parcel and parking areas. A. H. Grover is the subcontractor working on site prep and securing of the new school construction site. Work will begin this month on the addition of several new classrooms at MIW, with the foundation for this wing expected to be completed by the time school begins. Contractors Grondin and Geosurfaces are working to get the turf field ready for use by mid-August in time for the start of the Fall sports season, with this project on schedule with no expected delays. Benchmark Construction, the contractor for the new maintenance building located behind the pool, has completed the foundation and is ready to begin framing walls in the weeks ahead.
Please note that the Gyger Way entrance (Greely Pool side of the high school) will remain closed for the rest of the summer due to construction and reconfiguration of the parking lots and roads in that area of the campus. There will likely be additional intermittent closures of campus entrances over the summer which will be communicated in advance.

Gyger Way - CLOSED for the Summer
Please note that the Gyger Way entrance to the high school, which provides access to the pool, will be closed for the remainder of the summer due to ongoing construction projects. However, the high school remains accessible via Campus Drive (GCA side). Please follow all posted construction signs for safe navigation on campus.
School Calendar Reminder
Over the years, the school calendar has followed a consistent pattern: if there is a day off during a given week, the Wednesday of that week is a full day; otherwise, Wednesdays are half days.
This year is a bit different. You will notice that there are two Wednesdays—January 7 and February 25—that are full days, even though they do not follow this usual pattern. Please note that this is not a mistake or a typo. 
The bolded outline around the 7th indicates that there is a recognized major religious holiday. Those are listed on the second sheet of the calendar.
