Since July, the One Campus project has been in full swing after a year of design. This complex multi-part project involves significant changes to the MSAD 51 campus over the next two years. After five months of construction activity, here's a brief summary of work to date:
- MIW Addition: Concrete base floor slab completed. Steel installation is nearly complete, forming the outline of the building's addition. Enclosure of the exterior of the building will continue over the next few weeks.
- New PK-1 School: Concrete footings and walls progressing, along with rebar, with expected foundation completion in January. Backfill of the completed foundation walls continues. Expected completion of the new building is June 2027.
- New Facilities Building: This facility is in the final stages of completion, with expected occupancy in two weeks. The existing Facilities building will likely be razed in early winter.
- Internal Improvements: New Light poles and fixtures installed along the walkway from pool to GCA. Several dead shrubs were replaced. The berm behind the GMS field is being capped this week per DEP standards.
- Turf Field: Completed in August 2025/ Project close-out.
- Gyger Way Parking Lot Redesign: Completed in August 2025/ Project close-out.
