One of the longer and more in depth community partnerships at Greely this year has been between the Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust and three seniors, Charlotte T, Connor A, and Lauren D. Throughout the course of their year-long independent study focused on non-profit management, land stewardship, and local conservation, these three have worked closely with CCLT and Jonathan Dawson (the CCLT Steward) on a wide variety of projects. These projects found them removing invasives, hosting and organizing events, improving accessibility on CCLT trails, creating adventure kits, and so much more. We are grateful for the support and encouragement of the CCLT and their staff, and excited about the opportunity for students at GHS to get involved in this incredibly important local conservation work.
