Exciting Website News

Since 2010, we have used Classic Google Sites to host our district and school websites.  Soon, Classic Google Sites will no longer be available.  This prompted the district to research new website options.

We are excited to share that our new website will launch within the next couple of weeks!  If you have our district website bookmarked (, you will be all set. If you have any of our school websites bookmarked, you will need to access them through the district website and bookmark them again as they will have a new url. We ask that you bear with us while we work through the kinks of a new website.  Know that if there is a broken page link, we are working diligently to fix it.

COVID-19 Clinic for Students Aged 5-11

First, we would like to apologize for the frustration with all of the technology issues that have happened with the docusign and time slot links that were provided by Northern Light.

Please carefully read the information below. EVERYONE will be starting from the beginning even if you have previously completed the docusign registration process.
  • Please go to Greely Schools all times and fill out the form for your child.
  • There are no longer time slots to sign up for due to the link malfunctioning for the past few days. In order to potentially reduce wait times, if at all possible, we request that you follow the group times below. There will be a wait time but the reward at the end of the wait will be one step closer to being fully vaccinated!
  • Northern Light requests that all registration is completed through the online docusign form.
  • You should receive an email from Northern Light regarding the vaccine, however, it is not immediate. If you make it through to the end of your docusign form you should be all set.
  • You do not have to print your form, but are welcome to.
What time should I bring my student on November 17 and December 8?
GMS Grades 4-6 (if age 11 and younger) please try to attend 2:30 - 3:45
MIW students please try to attend 3:45 - 5:30
WHERE: Greely High School Commons; enter through the GCA entrance.
What if I have students in both group times?
You can come to either one, we are just trying to space out the groups in order to hopefully reduce wait times.
What if I already signed up and completed the docusign? Do I have to complete the entire form again?
Yes, please. This way we can be sure that everyone is registered with the current link provided above.
We apologize greatly for the frustration and inconvenience this has brought to many families. We appreciate your kindness and understanding. If you have emailed your school nurse and not received a response, please reach out if you still have issues after completing the process outlined above.

Thank you,
Lora Rolfe

New School Project Update - November 2, 2021

Dear MSAD #51 School Community,

Last night the MSAD #51 Board of Directors voted to enter into an agreement with Benjamin Grover of Construction Aggregate, Inc. for the option to acquire 76.5 acres of land off of the Gray Road in North Yarmouth. The cost of the option to purchase this land is set at $1.25 million, pending voter approval.

In making this decision, the Board has decided not to pursue the previously announced option of purchasing adjacent property to the campus for the purpose of building a new school building. Instead, the proposed purchase of the parcel in North Yarmouth would be the likely site of a new school, notwithstanding the completion of all necessary steps and final Board approval in sending a school construction referendum package to district voters at an undetermined date.

The Board’s vote last night on a land option agreement was followed by their approval of my recommended immediate next steps to begin a new design for a school suited to the proposed site in North Yarmouth. Over the next several weeks, the Board will be determining the scope of the project based on three criteria: educational value, capacity and usage of existing facilities/future needs, and the likelihood of gaining voter approval. Decisions about the full design of a new school, associated costs, and a projected referendum date are all to be determined at a later date. More information about the project will be forthcoming, along with opportunities for public engagement.

The decision to move forward with this land option in North Yarmouth begins a new chapter in the three-year-long process to respond to growing enrollment in the district’s schools, especially at the elementary level which has seen a rise of 200 more students over the last 5 years. A long-term, viable, educationally sound, and practical facilities plan is necessary in order to support high-quality programming that is tailored to the needs of 21st Century learners.

This is an amazing opportunity to significantly and proactively move the process forward. It is the district’s intent to put forward a plan for consideration that instills a sense of community pride and upholds the Rangers’ time-honored tradition of “Leading the Way.”
