Health Services

School Health Services describes the various components that relate to meeting the health and medical needs of children while they are in school. School nurses, the foundation of school health services, are licensed health care professionals working in an educational setting and play a vital role in student success.

 

Our nurses are part of MSAD #51's Student Service Team which is dedicated to empowering students to overcome barriers and embrace their strengths. Their services are designed to assist with academic, social, emotional or behavioral functioning that may hinder the students' ability to benefit from the learning environment.

 

MSAD #51's Student Service Team consists of School Nurses, Social Workers and Guidance Counselors.
