Primary School Building Project FAQs

Q:  What is the current plan?

A:  The 2018-2021 Strategic Plan set as a priority the study of optimal grade configurations and subsequent facility and space needs for Pre-K-Grade 5.  The Early Education Task Force, comprised of seventeen stakeholders, completed this study and made a recommendation to the MSAD #51 Board of Directors that was subsequently approved in December 2019. The recommendation of the Task Force called for a new PreK-Grade 2 primary school, located in North Yarmouth.  The Board appointed a primary school building committee to develop a concept design to be completed in June 2020.

It’s important to note Maine has no confirmed or suspected cases associated with the 2019 novel coronavirus. As part of that effort, Maine CDC created and regularly updates a webpage with information about the 2019 novel coronavirus. Visit the webpage at: www.maine.gov/dhhs/coronavirus.

Additionally, the attached fact sheet provides answers to common questions about the 2019 novel coronavirus.
