Chase Away the Winter Blues - Karaoke Night!!!

posted Jan 13, 2014, 11:41 AM by Tammy Tarling

Safe Passage, started by the late Hanley Denning of Yarmouth, Greely High School and Bowdoin College, brings hope, education and opportunity to the children and families living in extreme poverty around the Guatemala City garbage dump.  Learn more at www.safepassage.org .

Book ME to Safe Passage is comprised of Greely sophomores  Evan Carrell, Maegan Dougherty, Cat Maker, Erin Molloy, Colbi Munson, Meghan O’Donovan, Faith Price, Sarah Somes and Sophie Stickney, along with parents Andrea Cianchette Maker, Deb Peppard-Dougherty and Sally Nutting Somes.  In April, Book ME to Safe Passage will be delivering over 50 children’s books written in Spanish, and a $2,500 donation to Safe Passage.  They also will share an educational project with students at Safe Passage.

In preparation, we want to help you survive the dead of winter, and ask you to help our trip!  So it's  time to throw off the hats and mittens and get down like it’s a mid-summers’ night under the full moon!  Please bring your friends and join us for pizza, dance and karaoke to shake off those snow and ice induced chills at a heartwarming Safe Passage benefit!!
