There are so many ways to support education in Cumberland and North Yarmouth. Please consider volunteering or joining one of the many organizations listed below.

Current volunteer opportunities:
The PTO is looking for help with the following:

NYMS Reader board
PTO co-chair for this school year!

The Greely Fund is an annual fund directed by MSAD 51. The priorities for the 2007-08 fund are improving access for all students and teachers to up-to-date technology and the arts education. Decisions are made by the Advisory Board which includes representatives from Greely Alumni, School Board, MSAD 51 PTO, and Foundation 51. In 2006-07, the Greely Fund purchased 2 laptop carts, 48 laptops, a lcd projector, and software for struggling readers. All proceeds from direct donations and from Greely Gear purchases go to support students and teachers.

We now have a full service on-line store that sells Greely apparel such as sweatshirts, hats, fleece jackets, thermal coffee mugs, and much more! All proceeds from Greely Gear purchases go to the Greely Fund.

The PTO provides grade level enrichment opportunities for K-8 students, parents and teachers in the district;
promotes positive school and community relations by fostering communication between school administrators, parents, teachers, and the community; provides special family and community events; and provide recognition events for employees. The PTO also funds for Kindergarten  through Grade 5 field trips. Major fundraisers include: Sally Foster Gift wrap sale, PTO Discount Card, and Touch-a-Truck Family Festival.

Foundation 51 was created in 1998 by residents of Cumberland and North Yarmouth, Maine, for the purpose of directing private charitable resources toward the enrichment of educational opportunities for students in MSAD 51. Foundation 51 holds an annual auction and offers two grant cycles funding innovative school activities, learning programs, and supplies for the local Cumberland-North Yarmouth schools. Foundation 51 does not sustain programs or refund activities.
